Comments from Loved Ones
Many people say “we wish we were referred to St. Anthony’s Hospice sooner!” We wanted to share some of the comments we have received from families of loved ones.
“I cannot say enough great things about nurses’ aides, chaplain, and social workers. For 2 months, there was hardly a day that we weren’t contacted by one of the above! I’m so thankful for hospice because they made it possible for my mom to stay home and have the best care in her last days.”
“My husband was only with hospice for two days, but the care he received was excellent. The care after he passed away was superb!”
“My family, and I are appreciative to St. Anthony, for the care, and sympathy, and support they gave us during the time they worked with us. Thank you very much.”
“Thank the hospice people in Henderson, KY. We could not have ask for any better care for my husband. They were wonderful.”
“Nurse Lindsey was great! [My husband] enjoyed his bath aide Mary. Your male volunteers that sat with [my husband] were awesome.”
“There is no words for the gratitude that I have for the hospice team in Webster County Kentucky and Henderson St. Anthony’s. The care given to my husband was exceptional! The staff, the facility treated us like a forever best friend!”
“Our family cannot say enough good things about the care [my mom] received and how each and every nurse, counselor, and pastor watched over us all! We were in their care for 6 months and never did they put us off, not answer and always came to us! We spent the last 11 days in house and each day was hard, but hospice made it much easier. Thank you for all you do!”
“Nancy Leckie [Litke] was great. I don’t know what I would have done without her. She was a Godsend and a blessing.”
“I cannot thank Stephanie [Stephany], Sara, and Carolyn enough for the care and compassion they gave my mother and me. St. Anthony’s Hospice is full of angels, right down to the sweet girl who came to bathe mom. You are all amazing people.”
“Mom’s hospice care was great, and I was greatly pleased with everyone who took care of her; especially after RN Andy left. RN Cris [Kris] (that took Andy’s place) was wonderful with mom. She came to care for mom on a rainy night. Cheri Care for medical equipment, very respectful and helpful.”
“I was very hesitant to place my dad in inpatient hospice. I have never felt such compassion from anyone the way we did from all the workers. They were all truly angels. We will never forget the wonderful ladies there.”
“The entire hospice team was outstanding. I am so grateful for the care they gave to my mom. They loved her and loved us.”
“The nurses were kind and gentle. Chaplain was thoughtful, kind, and considerate. We were well pleased with services.”
“The hospice facility, as a whole, showed great care in taking care of our mother. We were grateful for the palliative/hospice care team. The knowledge that was evident was instrumental in helping us understand about our mother’s impending death. We feel that she made her transition with the dignity and respect necessary to give comfort as we continue in the grieving process.”
“Every person there was very special to us. I can’t imagine a better place. The last 6 months of mom’s life was filled with kindness, compassion, and joy. I couldn’t take care of her at home any longer, and feel that she bad the next best thing to being at home with her family. Each person touched our lives greatly. From A to Z, we grew close to all of them, and treasure them! Amy, Pam, Charlotte, Jesse, Carolyn, Janice, Tara, bather Thomas, everyone; I love them all!”
“I can’t say enough great things about the care my mom had while in hospice. The come care side, all the nurses: Lindsey, Dana, and the others were so amazing. The hospice center was great. Again, all the nurses made us feel like mom was the only patient, but of course she wasn’t. Our family will be forever grateful to all the staff at St. Anthony’s. They are Godsend angels.”
