Frequently Asked Questions

When is it time for hospice care?
After receiving hospice care from St. Anthony’s Hospice many say they wish they had called sooner. Hospice is not just for the final days or hours, rather hospice care is for months of care. A patient is hospice eligible when their physician expects the patient has a life expectancy of 6 months or less should his/her disease run its normal course. A patient does not have to be bed-bound or critically ill to be admitted to hospice.
